Association CEOs’ salary stagnates

October 2011 report shows paychecks for new chiefs are significantly lower than predecessors’ Gains in association CEO compensation are not at record lows. That counts as good news these days. The average base pay increase was 3.3 percent for the 12-month period ending April 15, according to American Research Company’s recently released “National Compensation Study.” That figure is up from the record low of 2.6 percent reported last year, but is the second lowest pay increase reported by ARC since the firm began analyzing CEO pay in 1991.
